Poker Nation For Players

So what is the the Poker Nation. Founded in 1834 the poker nation was set up by a group of English Poker enthusiasts dedicated to helping one another store large quantities of cash for high stake games.  Due to the banking crisis during the 19th century, it was often difficult and dangerous to store high volumes of cash, gold or other valuables in banks or other secured facilities. The poker Nation was first formed by Harold W Steward.

Facts about the Poker Nation

Despite many rumours circulating on-line and in the media, the poker nation is still an active group, yet only works on an invite only basis. The total members to date are believed to be over 3000. The last known open member was Joseph Adrians the world famous Israeli chess player.

Myths about Poker Nation

In 1968 the New York Times newspaper reported that the Poker nation vice president was now requesting every member to pay an annual fee of up to 60,000 USD.  These rumours were later quashed in a TV interview with the BBC program Horizon by by Eric Salmons the current and last known Nation secretary.
